Core Commitment: Synapse is architected to minimize data exposure. For our Local Server (On-Premise) users, Deep Scale Ai has ZERO access to your internal documents.
1. Data Collection Overview
Our data collection practices depend entirely on your chosen deployment model:
Model A: Local Server
We collect zero document data. Your documents, embeddings, and vector databases reside solely on your infrastructure. We only collect license key validation pings.
Model B: Cloud (SaaS)
We store encrypted embeddings of the documents you upload. We process your chat queries to return answers. We do not access your data for human review unless explicitly requested for support.
2. Artificial Intelligence & Data Usage
- 2.1 No Training on Your Data: We do not use your proprietary documents or internal knowledge base to train our foundational models (or any third-party models). Your trade secrets remain yours.
- 2.2 Third-Party Processors (Cloud Only): If you use the Cloud version, data is processed via secure APIs (e.g., OpenAI Enterprise) solely for the purpose of generating a response. These providers are contractually prohibited from training on your data.
3. Information We Collect Automatically
To maintain the service, we may collect technical metadata:
- Device Information: Browser type, OS version, and IP address for security logging.
- Usage Metrics: Aggregate data on token usage and query latency (to optimize performance).
- Cookies: Essential cookies for session management and authentication.
4. Data Retention
- 4.1 Termination: Upon termination of your Cloud account, all your vectors and embeddings are permanently deleted within 30 days.
- 4.2 Local Server: You have full control over data retention. Deleting the Docker container/volume permanently erases all data immediately.
